Helicopter crash report released
The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary finding on the cause of the helicopter crash in northern California August 5 that killed nine Oregon firefighters.

The report tells the helicopter lost power at 7:41 p.m., clipped trees and crashed. The helicopter had made two trips already transporting firefighters to a hot zone. After refueling and gathering the Oregon firefighters, the helicopter crashed just after takeoff.

An Oregon State cop trooper pulled over 25-year-old Cristian Escalante-Castaneda and 28-year-old Alfonso Garcia-Castaneda near Sutherlin after spotting a car following other traffic too closely on Wednesday.

The trooper became suspicious and called for backup with a drug-sniffing dog that found the cocaine hidden inside compartments in the car.
